As a certified mastectomy and bra fitter serving thousands of women through the World of Pink Foundation, I am always on the lookout for innovative, non-invasive, and comfortable products that provide both function and confidence to our community. Grippy Cakes has quickly become one of the most versatile and exciting additions to our toolkit—not only for our breast cancer survivors, but for myself, friends, and new moms alike.
Grippy Cakes are lightweight, comfortable, and adaptable. They’ve proven exceptionally effective as modesty covers under athletic wear, fitted fashion tops, and form-hugging dresses. For women who have experienced asymmetrical results after breast surgeries—whether due to radiation, reconstruction complications, or explanation—Grippy Cakes offer a smooth, rounded appearance that helps restore visual balance without adhesives or invasive inserts. Many women prefer to wear their own choice of bra rather than a traditional mastectomy bra, making Grippy Cakes an excellent solution for added comfort and symmetry.

I commented on an ad about the cakes I purchased for the second time not staying in place due to a scar from breast cancer surgery. Mary was kind enough to send me a larger size and options to try. I’m more than happy to report the largest sticky cake was the one! In that my bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstruction was not nipple or fat sparing, my scars are not transparent and dent in when I use my arms. I don’t need a bra but wear them anyway to lesson the visual beneath my shirts. The sticky cakes work when others didn’t and the larger size I would never have thought to try covers the entire area. I’m back to having full coverage if my scars without the uncomfortable and noticeable (under certain tops) bras. Thank you so much to the Cakes family for helping me with this transition ❤️

I am a 37 yr old breast cancer survivor. My reconstruction left me with some scarring, an aversion to underwire and minus one nipple. I purchased cakes when I was convinced ALL bras were evil. They were a life saver: I will be throwing out all of my strapless and sticky bras. I even went back and purchased the medium cakes with nipples so I can feel whole again and less self-conscious in my summer shirts.
They are all the things they claim to be and more: soft, washable, barely-there, non-stick, durable, non-slip, long-lasting and most importantly comfortable.
